Desktop and platform ship weekly — every release signed, every update pushed automatically to every desk. The version at the top of the list updates itself; the notes follow. Four pieces reach this log: the desktop app, the platform, the edge node and luge-cli — every entry carries its own prefix. The full details live on GitHub.

1. plateforme v0.68.0 August 30, 2026

   Your phone tells Luge you're driving — an ask a car can't settle waits until you're free again, and the ones that go through are cut short to be read aloud. Sharing that context stays off by default. On the rights side, the right to post in a channel is computed where it's answered: no more send button promising what the platform will then refuse.

   The navigation rail gets its words back: icons-only at rest, it opens on hover or keyboard focus to reveal every label — over the content rather than pushing it — and a setting keeps it icons-only if you prefer. A team whose AI bridge is switched off finally reads as exactly that, instead of an expired session.

   What leaves with you when you export your data — and what is erased when you close your account — is no longer a list somebody has to remember to maintain: the build re-derives it from the database schema, table by table, and fails if a single one is left undecided without a stated reason. An interrupted turn that answered anyway now counts as a flagged success rather than a dead run.

   A card finally carries its own state — to do, in progress, paused, done — instead of it being inferred from whichever column happens to hold it, and a column can set the rule that stamps it on arrival. “My work” becomes a graphical overview, a filtered board has an address (so it can be shared and bookmarked), and a paired phone can answer an approval request.

   An agent running outside Luge — a terminal, CI, a schedule — can now put its question where a human will see it: `luge-cli hitl create` files the ask in the approval inbox with its deadline and its notification, and `--wait` blocks for the answer. Running out that window isn't a failure: the question stays live in the inbox.

   Say a thing once: a webhook redelivery finds the run, the card or the row the first delivery created instead of doubling it, and the REST send stops publishing your message twice. What the agent claims gets checked harder too — a page it read along the way becomes a cited source whose link actually opens, and a judge re-reads the running summary so it asserts nothing its sources don't carry.

   Administration becomes its own surface: the organization console takes the tenant, settings keep the person, and admin power reads as a mode you switch on — an amber ring on the avatar, widened lists that say so instead of changing silently. Exposure profiles let an admin shape each member's interface without ever touching their rights, and a deterministic gate withholds a restricted read before the model ever sees it, sandbox included.

   One word, one meaning: `agent` talks, `conversation` reads, `settings agent` governs — and a card posted in a channel can finally take a vote or an answer from the command line. Three probes make the platform observable from a terminal, one of them the product documentation index the agent skill consults before ever answering that Luge can't do something.

   On Linux, your session finally survives a reboot: the token moves from the in-memory kernel keyring to the on-disk secret service, as on macOS and Windows — expect one last sign-in after updating. The meetings list no longer loses a fresh row to a slower request, and dates follow the language you picked rather than the machine's.

    A node whose team has AI features switched off no longer cuts out believing its session expired: it stays on the air, quietly reports that the bridge is closed, and comes back on its own the moment it reopens — no restart, no re-pairing. Release builds now point at `my.luge.works` by default; a node that already set its own address is untouched.

    A screenshot produced by a local MCP server now reaches the agent intact: the relay forwards content blocks as they are instead of flattening everything into one line of text. A tool-level failure relays as a failure too, no longer as a success.

    Any object in the workspace opens into a discussion — a capture, a meeting, a project, a note, a table, a card: the conversation is your own, it names its subject on every turn and links back to the object. Underneath, the largest identity audit the platform has had: a tool call, a sandbox, a scheduled run all act as the person whose turn it is, never as whoever attached the agent. Gemini can be served from the customer's own Google Cloud project with the region pinned — the region is what keeps the exchange inside one jurisdiction.

    Two things only the web form could do come to the command line: the tenant's tool wiring — declare an MCP server, read what the gateway actually mounted, re-mount it — and its AI wiring, where an agent is put on a provider and a provider is asked what it serves right now rather than what the catalogue remembers. A posted card stops being permanent: correct it in place, or take it off the thread.

    An agent that finds `luge-edge` on a machine can ask what that machine is good for: `luge-edge skills` prints a manual — what the node serves, where config, models and the token live, and one section per family (inference, agents, transcription, tools) with what to check when one of them isn't answering. The text is embedded, so an offline node still answers, and a test rejects any command missing from the manual.

    A body of work finally has its container: the project becomes a first-class object — meetings, documents, notes, boards and folders gather under it, a folder is linked whole rather than row by row, and an appointment is referenced without a single byte of it being stored. A card can be archived instead of destroyed, and five security holes close — among them a card that could be shared out from under its board, and an agent that could reach a same-tenant peer's private documents.

    On macOS, a node installed with the published one-liner finds its inference engine again: discovery followed the symlink placed on the PATH instead of resolving it, and reported the model ready with `llama-server` missing while never serving inference. Linux and Windows were unaffected.

17. cli v0.49.0 August 17, 2026

    `luge-cli upgrade` now moves the tool and the skill your agents read together — the skill is a copy dropped into their skills directory, so upgrading the package alone left them driving the new release with the previous one's instructions. The CLI also announces its version on every call and mentions, at most once a day, that a newer one exists: the deployment says so in its own response, no index is polled.

    All four Gemma 4 models download again: upstream re-uploaded them with an updated chat template, which moved every checksum the catalogue pinned — and since the integrity check is the last step, the whole multi-gigabyte wait was paid before the error appeared. The check itself stays exactly as it is: it is what caught the change, where a catalogue trusting whatever the CDN returned would have loaded different weights in silence.

    Signing out of Luge in a browser no longer takes this machine's tools, inference and transcription off the air: signing out closes every socket a person owns, and the desktop read its own as a revoked token. The screenshot tool now checks consent when it runs — withdrawing it mid-session takes effect immediately — and Qwen3.8 27B joins the local catalogue.

    A human hand on the self-improvement loop: a skill proposed by the nightly pass is reviewed and judged before it lands for everyone, and the admin gets a morning digest — what applied overnight, what awaits approval, what expired. Boards also open read-only to outside collaborators.

    Operating what the platform opened up: an Operations page to supervise the durable event queue (dead letters grouped by cause, one-click replay), external-access governance (a per-organization switch, domain lists, a named access review, full erasure on request), and personal MCP services — each member connects their own account instead of a shared secret.

    A new local top-tier in the catalogue: Qwen3.8 27B (17.9 GB), the first dense model of the upper tier — every parameter works on every generated token, where the neighbouring MoE models activate only a fraction. Quality first, for a machine with the memory. The bundled inference engine takes a leap along the way.

    Letting someone in from outside — and nothing else out: share a note or a folder with a person outside the organization; they prove their address (Google, Microsoft or a one-time code) and reach only what was explicitly shared with them. The calendar becomes a trigger too: a workflow can fire before or after a meeting and prepare a briefing whose reading is consented and journalled.

    Sharing a folder of notes opens read access to everything filed beneath it, sections included — sharing opens the door, it never hands the folder over. Around it, a security sweep: subscribing to an event now returns only what the subscriber may read (no more private boards and channels leaking), and notifications decide more sharply who's actually mentioned.

    Luge learns to write: notes (markdown, folders, a revision history that names each version’s author — human, agent or API key —, @ references to any platform object), a visual canvas, unified semantic search across notes and documents, and the workspace graph — every link respects the access rights it came from.
